Canadian envoy assures Brep flood victims of assistance

BREP: Canadian High Commissioner Leslie Scanlan visited the flood-affected area of Brep on Friday.

Rabnawaz Khan, Additional Assistant Commissioner, welcomed the distinguished guest along with elders of the area and local representatives.

The High Commissioner visited the recent flood affected Government Girls High School Brep and appreciated the role of UNDP in refurbishing the school with modern facilities.

She also visited Khotan Lasht and made a detailed inspection of the prefabricated homes set up by the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat for the victims. As many as 42 prefab homes have modernly been constructed for the affected families in Brep area.

During her interaction with the flood-hit people, she reiterated all possible assistance and cooperation from her country with the victims in the future.
