BOONI: Channelization of Khuz Gol in Upper Chitral has been started to protect the village from further damages from floods.
Last year, flooding in the nullah damaged several houses. the channelization is being carried out by AKAH, said the office of the deputy commissioner Upper Chitral.
A statement issued from the DC office said, work on construction of protection wall along the River Yarkhun near the settlement of flood-displaced people of Brep has also been launched.
Moreover, a survey has also been started to work on the channelization of nullahs and construction of protection walls in Brep. A report would be submitted to AKAH and after its approval work on these schemes would also be launched.
