Ex-DEO Gul Murad Hasrat dies

PESHAWAR: Former district education officer (DEO) Upper Dir Gul Murad Khan Hasrat died of Covid-19 here on Monday.

He was admitted to the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar a few days ago.

Besides being associated with the education department for many decades, Mr Hasrat was a poet and literary figure of Chitral.

His dead body is being shifted to his native village of Parkusap in Upper Chitral for burial.
