Hindukush cultural conference postponed
CHITRAL: The proposed “Fourth International Hindukush Cultural Conference 2020”, which was scheduled to be held from September 14-16 2020 stands postponed in view of the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent uncertain situation.
The decision was made at a meeting of the conference core committee held at Mahraka Guesthouse Chitral on Monday.
The meeting was attended by Fakhriddin Akhonzada, Executive Director Forum for Language Initiatives (FLI), Shahzada Tanvir Ul Mulk, President Anjuman Taraqqi-e-Khowar, and members core committee Professor Mumtaz Hussain, Muhammad Yousaf Shahzad, Dr Tajuddin Sharar, Provost Chitral University, Muhammad Irfan Irfan, Shahzada Faham Aziz, Sadiq Ullah Sadiq, Farid Ahmad Raza and secretary Zahoor ul Haq Danish.
After considerable deliberation, it was unanimously decided that in view of the uncertain situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Hindukush cultural conference shall stand postponed to some other dates to be announced later subject to national and global response to the pandemic and modalities framed thereof.
