Man arrested on charge of trying to assault girl

YARKHUN: A 28-year-old man was arrested on the charge of trying to sexually assault a minor girl in a village in the limits of Yarkhun Lasht police.

Local sources told ChitralToday that the suspect tried to sexually assault the eight-year-old in Dewser village. But as the girl started screaming some people gathered after which the suspect fled.

The father of the girl later lodged a complaint against the man with the police.

The police registered an FIR against the suspect and arrested him.
