Shishi Koh residents slam PTI for ignoring them in govt jobs

CHITRAL: Residents of Shishi Koh said the PTI government has inducted its blue-eyed boys on low level government posts in their area violating merit and meting out injustices to the local youth.

Speaking at a press conference on here Monday, Haji Anzer Gul, former member district council Haji Sher Muhammad, former village council nazim Saifullah, Abdul Qayyum, Fazle Rehman and others said a Shoaib Akhter, a resident of Bumburate, was appointed at the dispensary of Kaldas village in Shishi Koh.

They said Shishi Koh was inhabited by 22,000 people and asked the district health officer if there was no one in the valley who could fulfil the criteria for appointment on the post. They said the people of the area would not tolerate this broad daylight robbery on their right.

They also said in the appointment of 22 forest guards, Shishi Koh was ignored and nine of the posts were given to residents of Arandu. They said Shishi Koh was a forest area larger than Arandu and its border touched the Swat valley.

They said if Arandu had been given a lion’s share in the forest guard vacancies on the pretext that timber was being smuggled to Afghanistan from that border area, the people of Shishi Koh would also start the illegal activity of cutting green trees.

They called upon the chief minister and authorities of the forest department to ensure quota for the people of Shishi Koh in the forest and all other departments otherwise they would launch a protest move against the injustices.–S. Nazir Hussain
