Rs200m road construction projects for Upper Chitral approved
- About 88 per cent of the Rs200 million funds have been sanctioned for construction of link roads in Torkhow and Mulkhow
- Only Rs24m will be spent on construction of link roads in Booni while no fund is allocated for roads in other areas of Upper Chitral
BOONI: The district administration of Upper Chitral on Tuesday approved a number of development projects worth Rs200 million for different areas of the district.
The projects were approved at a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr Ifran Uddin and attended among others by representatives from District Development Advisory Committee Chairman (DDAC) and MPA Hidayatur Rehman.
The projects approved and their estimated costs are as follows:
Construction of a premix road from the main Chitral road to Awarey in Mulkhow at an estimated cost of Rs50 million, construction of road from Buzund to Khot village, Rs50 million, construction of road from Siwaht to Terich, cost Rs50 million, construction of premix road from Booni Chowk to BMC Booni, cost Rs17 million, construction of the road to Booni Gol at a cost of Rs6.87 million, and construction of a premix road from Passum to Warijun in Mulkhow, cost Rs25.32 million.
However, there was no project for areas such as Mastuj, Yarkhun and Laspur areas.
MPA Chitral could you please stop your prejudice against people of other areas who also gave vote for you. I am going to lodge a complaint with PM’s citizen portal against district admin officers of Upper Chitral for taking dictat from this man and depriving other areas of the funds.
