Injured wolf found in Upper Chitral referred to Peshawar
CHITRAL: An injured wolf found along Chitral-Mastuj road near Kuragh two days ago was shifted to the Veterinary Hospital in Lower Chitral by officials of the wildlife department on Friday.
After an initial treatment, the injured grey wolf, aged about six years, was referred to a pet clinic in Peshawar, said a statement issued by the DC office.
It is believed that the wolf got its left eye damaged and a leg broken in a rock fall. Wolves often enter human settlements in winters in search of food in villages.
The injured animal remained on the roadside for hours before it was shifted to the vet hospital.
