Rs1 billion set aside for Chitral-Shandur road

ISLAMABAD: An amount of Rs1 billion has been allocated for the reconstruction of Chitral-Mastuj-Shandur road in the federal budget 2019-20.

The project is among CPEC roads that will be reconstructed under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

There is also an allocation of Rs500 million for the construction of Gilgit-Shandur road.

The government has allocated Rs100 million for construction of project management unit under the CPEC.

There is also an allocation of Rs3 billion for upgradation of 167 Km highway between Jagoth to Skardu.

In PSDP the government has earmarked Rs19 billion for Peshawar to Karachi for 392 km motorway project.
