Youth in Arandu observes hunger strike against DFO

DROSH: A young man from Arandu has gone on a hunger strike against what he alleged corruption committed by the district forest officer Chitral in hiring of forest guards by ignoring 10 people from his area.
Talking to ChitralToday, Muhamamd Islam said the forest department through an advertisement invited applications for filling vacant posts of forest guards and he along with nine other candidates from Arandu applied for it.
He said the candidates cleared all process and tests before the interview but the DFO did not invite them for the interview. The 10 candidates then approached a court and presented their reservations. The judge called all those candidates who had been invited for the interview and got a measurement of their chests carried out.
Mr Aslam claimed that during the measurement in front of the judge the chest size of the candidates who had been invited for the interview by the DFO did not meet the minimum requirement, showing the DFO had violated merit in hiring of the guards.
He called upon the authorities concerned to take notice of the matter and provide justice to the youth of Arandu valley who were ignored by the DFO.
