Male employees barred from contacting female teachers

PESHAWAR: The Elementary and Secondary Education  Department has issued a notification under which no male government employee can contact female teachers via phone or social media.
The notification said adviser to the chief minister for elementary and secondary education Ziaullah Bangash took the step to curb incidents of harassment.
A meeting of the education department was told that all staff members, from junior clerks to the superintendents working in the offices of female district education officers (DEOs) “will not contact any female teacher in connection with any official matter/issue” through telephone or social media.

  1. I think such law should also be applied in private educational institutes. Aga Khan Education Service Chitral male employees should be barred to contact female teachers for instance.

  2. A nice job done by the relevant authorities. In 2009 a woman teacher employed for elementary education of women in Drosh was asked for having a meeting with the supervisors. She refused and upon insisting left the job. Very Well considered matter and applauded.
