Nurses start symbolic protest at DHQ hospital

CHITRAL: On the call of the Provincial Nursing Association, nurses at the District Headquarters Hospital Chitral have started a symbolic strike demanding acceptance of their demands.

They observed the two-hour symbolic protest by wearing black arm-bands till the acceptance of their demands including time scale promotion, an increase of Rs10,000 in the health professional allowance and risk allowance.

The nurses said that if their demands were not met by April 17, they would  boycott working. On April 18, as decided by the  association the nurses would also hold a protest.–Nasir Hussain
