Two Afghan boys reunited with their families
CHITRAL: Two boys who mistakenly crossed into Arandu from the Nooristan province of Afghanistan a few days ago were on Sunday reunited with their families.
According to a press release issued by the Child Protection Officer Imran Uddin, the two brothers aged six and 14 years were taken into custody by the Arandu police and brought to the office of the assistant commissioner in Drosh. Later, the Child Protection Unit (CPU) took the children in its custody from the AC Drsoh office.
The CPU in collaboration with the Islahi Committee of Arandu and the local police managed to trace the parents of the two children and facilitated their return. The two siblings were reunited with their parents on Sunday, said the press release.—Bashir Hussain Azad
