Private company creating hurdles in power supply: VC nazim

In a statement here, Naveed Ahmed Baig, the nazim of village council Shiaqotek, said in the holy month of Ramazan when the faithful are fasting and the temperature remains high the supply of electricity to the town from both Malakand and  Golen remained suspended during the daytime. He said the contract to lay the transmission lines from Golen had been  awarded to the private company, Netracon, which also has a permit issued form the home department to carry out the work. He said the elected representatives had already requested the district administration that the company first work in those areas where WAPDA has no transmission line such as from Denin to Bakrabad so that the supply of power to the Chital town could be ensured.
