No to census if work on powerhouse not started by April 20
The public meeting was held under the chairmanship of Nadir Jang at the Bijligar Chowk in which a large number of people from Reshun, Junalikoch, Kuragh, Lon, Charun, Booni and other parts of upper Chitral took part. Speakers on the occasion once again said they were determined not to participate in the census in their are to be start from April 25 if the government continued delaying he launch of work on the restoration work. They expressed concerns that after the powerhouse was damaged in the 2015 floods the government has adopted delaying tactics to start its restoration. they said after about two years the hiring of a consultant was just a joke with the people of upper Chitral who remained without electricity, the basic need of life. The speakers said that the government should start the civil work on the project without any further delay. They said if the restoration work was not started by April 20, people of the area, including women and children, would launch a forceful movement and the government, political leaders and PEDO would be held responsible if any untoward incident occurred.–Shehzad Ahmed Shehzad]]>
