BOONI: The Upper Chitral district administration demolished illegal structures in Kaghlasht which it said were built on state land in the area without authority.

The action was taken during the ongoing anti-encroachment operation launched on the direction of the KP government.

Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Sultan Nooruddin Ahmar led the operation accompanied by Tehsil Municipal Officer Mastuj Misbahuddin, local police personnel and Chitral Levies. Deputy Commissioner Arshad Khan also remained present during the operation against illegal structures in Kaghlasht.

During the crackdown, enforcement teams demolished several illegal structures in Kaghlasht erected at different locations in the meadow. The operation resulted in the removal of encroachments and the recovery of government-owned land from unauthorised occupation.

The Deputy Commissioner stated that the administration would continue taking action against illegal occupation and encroachments on government property without discrimination.

He emphasised that protecting public land and ensuring compliance with government regulations remained among the administration’s priorities.

The administration also indicated that anti-encroachment operations would continue across Upper Chitral to ensure that public property is protected from unlawful occupation.
