PESHAWAR, June 1: The new cabinet of the Chitral Students Association, headed by President Naushad Jan, took oath here on Sunday.
Senator Rubina Khalid was the chief guest, who also administered oath to the cabinet members, while PTI Chitral chief Abdul Lateef presided over the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, the new president highlighted the issues being faced by the Chitrali students and stressed on the leaders to cooperate with them to resolve the problems.
The PTI Chitral chief Abdul Lateef said the establishment of a university in Chitral was inevitable. He highlighted the role of the PTI government regarding promotion of quality education.
While Senator Rubina Khalid assured the students of her full cooperation in resolving the issues. She also offered to host a Chitrali cultural show in the city. The Senator also said she would raise the establishment of a university in Chitral at federal level and will discuss it with related authorities.
The senator stressed giving representation to female students. The problems discussed related to hostels for Chitrali female students, seats at UET, KMC and Islamia College. All the leaders promised their full cooperation with the CSA. The students were also entertained by singer Sheraz Badsha with students performing cultural dance.
