Maulana Inam elected JUI Drosh chief

DROSH, May 2: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) tehsil Drosh has elected Maulana Inamul Haq as President (Amir) and Qari Fazal Haq as the general secretary.

The electoral college for the election was tehsil general council where more than 120 members participated in voting. The elections were supervised by Nusrat Elahi and Mirza Alam who were discharging duties as election commissioners. Besides these two candidates, Qazi Nazirullah and Maulana Anwarul Haq also contested for the slots of the presidential and the general secretary.

On Thursday, JUI Arandu had elected Maulana Fazal Rashid as its president and Majid Khan as the general secretary. It may be mentioned that the election for the office-bearers of the JUI are held after every three years covering the set-up of Union Council, Tehsil as well as the district chapter.
