Musharraf's nomination papers submitted in Chitral
CHITRAL, March 29: The nomination papers of former president Pervez Musharraf were on Friday submitted for the NA-32 seat of the National Assembly in Chitral. Former Tehsil Naizm Shahzada Sikanar ul-Mulk submitted the nomination paper as the attorney of Pervez Musharraf with the returning officer here. Earlier, a public meeting was held at the residence of Shahzada Khalid Pervez, the president of All Pakistan Muslim League Chitral, under the chair of Haji Eidul Hussain, the president of PML-Q Chitral. Former PMA from PK-90 Ghulam Mohammad was also present on the occasion. Addressing the public meeting, the speakers said the former president was the biggest benefactor of Chitrali nation who constructed the Lowari tunnel which was a matter of life and death for the Chitralis. They said workers of other parties would also cast their votes in favor of Pervez Musharaf. Some workers of Jamaat-i-Islami and other parties also announced to join the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) on the occasion and said they would vote for Musharraf. Later, the supporters of Pervez Musharraf came to the office of Returning Officer Chitral in a procession chanting slogans in favour of Musharraf. Talking to this scribe, Shahzada Khalid Pervez said that there is no doubt that Musharraf will clean sweep from Chitral. He said that although candidates of other parties were spreading propaganda, the people of Chitral were eagerly awaiting to elect Musharraf. Meanwhile, Awami National Party (ANP) also submitted their nomination paper for PK 89 and PK –90. Former MPA Haji Zafar submitted nomination paper for PK 89 and Shah Wazir Lal will contest on ANP ticket from PK 90.
