BOONI: Negotiations between the district administration of Upper Chitral and a delegation from Torkhow-Terich Road Forum (TTRF) were held here on Sunday with the delegation presenting its concerns and demands to the district officials regarding the construction of the road in their area.
The TTRF delegation met Additional Deputy Commissioner General Muazzam Khan Bangash and Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Adnan Haider Malooki and other officials.
The district administration listened to the concerns raised by the delegation and assured the representatives that the machinery currently stationed in Booni would not be shifted to any other location until further orders.
The administration also promised that a TTRF delegation would participate in a meeting at the district administration office on Tuesday. The meeting will be attended by the executive engineer of the Communication and Works (C&W) Department, the concerned contractor and other relevant stakeholders.
The meeting will discuss the current status and progress of the road project, as well as the future course of action. The talks concluded with assurances from the district administration regarding the machinery and further consultations on the ongoing road project.
