25 NLI personnel killed in accident

GILGIT, March 16: A Rawalpindi bound coaster (PWO 737) carrying around 25 security officials and some civilians fell into a ravine in the Sumar Nala area of Kohistan, killing at least 23 soldiers and two civilians on the spot. Five injured have been taken to a nearby hospital in Shatyal area of Kohistan. According to military sources the soldiers belonged to the NLI Regiment and they were returning to their basis after vacations.
