Youths asked to make Pakistan great

CHITRAL, Aug 14: Like other parts of the country, the 66th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated in Chitral with great pomp and show. [caption id="attachment_3501" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Photo by Syed Nazir Hussain"][/caption] In this connection, a colourful ceremony was held at the Centennial Model School, Chitral. DCO Rehmatullah Wazir was the chief guest on the occasion. The program started with the recitation from the holy Quran and students of the school presented national songs and tableaus. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said Pakistan came into being after unprecedented sacrifices rendered by our ancestors. It is now incumbent upon us to honour those sacrifices and work for the betterment of the country. He further said that the young generation can play a pivotal role in making Pakistan one of the greatest countries of the world. Ex- director agriculture, Pineen Shah, also spoke on the occasion. At the end, principal of the Centennial Model School thanked all the participants for attending the program.]]>
