PESHAWAR: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert regarding widespread rain/thunderstorms with snowfall in hilly areas from Tuesday night.
Referring to a weather advisory issued by the Met Office, the PDMA in its alert said landslides due to heavy rainfall may occur in Malakand division. The departments were asked to take necessary steps in order to minimize human losses or damage to properties.
All agencies concerned should also remain vigilant to restore roads in case they were closed by rain, landsliding or flooding, it added.
