Booni March 23, 2026: Rescue 1122 teams in Upper and Lower Chitral are continuing a search operation for the body of a young girl who fell into the Chitral River two days earlier.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the incident occurred in the Aliabad area of Mulkhow in Upper Chitral, where two minor sisters accidentally fell into a stream that flows into the Chitral River.
Local residents managed to recover the body of one of the girls at the scene shortly after the incident. However, the second girl remains missing.
Rescue 1122 Upper Chitral initiated a search operation immediately after the incident and continued efforts throughout the day. On the following day, additional teams from Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral joined the operation, expanding the search to multiple points along the Chitral River.
Despite ongoing efforts by multiple rescue teams, the body has not yet been recovered.
A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 Upper/Lower Chitral confirmed that teams are actively engaged in coordinated efforts along the river.
