Islamabad, Oct 26, 2025: The Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) was held across Pakistan on Oct 26 for which 140,125 students had registered.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), in collaboration with various universities organized the key entrance test for medical and dental college admissions nationwide.
The test took place at 32 centers across Pakistan with an additional center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for overseas Pakistani students. Overseas candidates took the exam in Riyadh, where 194 students participated.
Candidates completed 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), covering biology, chemistry, physics and English. These subjects are critical for those pursuing a career in medicine and dentistry. To ensure fairness and transparency, the exam incorporated modern security measures, including biometric verification to confirm the identity of candidates and prevent malpractice.
The PMDC expects to announce the results within one week, and candidates will have the opportunity to request a recheck within three days of the results. Universities must submit analytical reports to the PMDC within 10 days. The admissions process for 188 medical and dental colleges across Pakistan is scheduled to conclude by February 28, 2026.
