Chitral, Oct 1, 2025: On the directions of SDPO Drosh Iqbal Karim, Station House Officer (SHO) of Ashiret police station SI Mirajuddin and his team intercepted a suspicious vehicle at the Ashiret police checkpoint during routine checking.
The police searched the vehicle and found an unlicensed Kalashnikov rifle with an empty magazine hidden inside a plastic sack filled with husk.
They immediately arrested the driver, identified as Hidayatullah, a resident of Samarbagh in Lower Dir, and launched further investigation into the case.
District police warned that carrying unlicensed weapons is a serious offence and vowed to take strict legal action against anyone violating the law.
