Chitral, Aug 27, 2025: The Aga Khan Agency for Habitat Pakistan (AKAH-P) is assessing damages in the areas hit hardest by recent monsoon floods in Chitral.
The team is verifying families who lost their homes, land and livelihoods. The family verification is being conducted by AKAH under one of the donor-funded projects in Chitral.
The project aimed to provide cash assistance in the form of Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA). However, this will be implemented through one of the government departments in the future.
AKAH-P works closely with local authorities and community leaders. They will make sure aid reaches those who need it most, with transparency, efficiency, and fairness.
