RESHUN: A Bedford truck broke down while climbing the steep section of the Chitral-Mastuj road at Shader near Reshun, causing a complete halt to traffic.
Upon receiving the alert, the Rescue 1122 Upper Chitral recovery team reached the site. Using a recovery vehicle, the team removed the broken-down truck and handed it over to its owner, restoring the flow of traffic on the busy road.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Zafaruddin, according to a statement.
The Chitral-Mastuj road was washed away by the river a couple of years ago and the traffic has been diverted to alternative route through private land at Shader. The kutcha road causes frequent blockaded as heavy vehicles get stuck in it.
