PESHAWAR: A tragic firing incident claimed the lives of six members of the same family in the Khatko Pul area of Peshawar, police said.
According to the police, unidentified assailants opened fire at a house, killing six individuals including three women. One woman was also injured in the attack and has been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment.
Police officials confirmed that the victims and the attackers were neighbors. The deceased were allegedly accused of involvement in the murder of a woman from the opposing party.
The attackers fled the scene after the shooting, and police have launched a manhunt with raids underway to arrest the suspects.
The incident has spread shock and grief in the area, highlighting growing tensions and the urgent need for conflict resolution mechanisms at the community level.
