Wolf rescued by people of Washich in Upper Chitral

Sick wolf descends to village, taken care of well

BOONI: People, especially youth, of village Washich in Torkhow showed an examplary friendship, kindness and care towards a diseased wolf which came down to the settlement and peacefully surrendered herself to the villagers.

The wolf was shivering, perhaps due to some sickness, so the villagers wrapped the wild creature in a piece of warm cloth.

Earlier, they made a phone call to the officials of Wildlife Department in Booni, who reached the scene and picked the wolf for further treatment. They also thanked the people of Washich for the commendable job.

This is a paradigm shift in the behaviour of young generation towards wildlife.
