Sale points replenished with wheat stocks

BOONI: About 370 metric tonnes of wheat has been supplied to the sale points in different areas of Upper Chitral, said the district administration on Friday.

A week earlier, Commissioner Malakand Division Saqib Raza Aslam during a visit had directed the food department to ensure speedy supply of wheat to remote areas of Upper Chitral. Today, DC Muhammad Irfanuddin along with Assistant Commissioner Mastuj Shah Adnan and District Food Controller Zafar Alam visited the wheat distribution points and reviewed the supply.

He was informed that 367 metric tonnes of wheat had been dispatched to different union councils of the district. These included: UC Yarkhun 65 metric tonnes, Laspur 40 mt, Torkhow 18 mt, Rech 20 mt, Khot 4 mt, Mulkhow 61 mt, Mastuj 65 mt, Kuragh 25 mt, Reshun 31 mt and Booni 38 metric tonnes of wheat.
