Paraglider Goes Missing After Taking Off From Zaini Pass

CHITRAL: A paraglider went missing after taking off from the challenging mountainous Zaini Pass in Upper Chitral, prompting a search and rescue operation by the district administration, Rescue 1122, police and local residents.

According to Rescue 1122, three paragliders took off together from Zaini Pass, but one of them suddenly disappeared during the flight near the mountains of Oveer Valley.

The paraglider, identified as Asif Mehmood from Islamabad, lost contact with the ground team while flying in the area, raising concerns about his whereabouts.

Rescue teams and local residents immediately launched a search operation after receiving information about the incident.

Officials said the operation was facing difficulties due to the extreme altitude and rugged mountainous terrain of the area.

However, all available resources were being used, with local residents assisting rescue teams in the search for the missing paraglider.
The search and rescue operation is ongoing.
