Dr Abdul Malik Assumes Charge as DEO Upper Chitral

BOONI: Dr Abdul Malik assumed charge as the new District Education Officer (Male) Upper Chitral on August 27, 2026.
On his arrival, Deputy DEO Mehboob Elahi, SDEO Shahzad Nadeem and other officers and officials of the Education Department welcomed him. A formal ceremony was organized in his honour.
The ceremony was attended by officers and officials of the Education Department. During the event, Deputy DEO Mehboob Elahi presented Dr Abdul Malik with a traditional Chitrali cap and garland on behalf of the Education Department Upper Chitral.
In his welcome address, Mehboob Elahi extended his best wishes to the newly appointed DEO and expressed the commitment of the department’s officers and staff to work together through teamwork, mutual cooperation and dedicated efforts for the promotion and improvement of education across the district.
He also paid tribute to the services of former District Education Officer Mahmood Ghaznavi, appreciating his contributions to the Education Department during his tenure and expressing his best wishes for his future endeavours.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Abdul Malik thanked all officers and officials for the warm welcome and reception. He said he would work together with the entire team of the Education Department Upper Chitral to promote education, improve the quality of education and ensure the effective performance of educational institutions across the district.
He expressed his resolve to further strengthen and improve the education system in Upper Chitral through consultation, teamwork and collective efforts.
He emphasized that coordinated efforts by all officers and staff would be essential to achieving sustainable improvements in the district’s educational system.
The newly appointed DEO also reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the department’s officials and ensuring that every possible effort is made to address educational challenges and enhance the overall standard and effectiveness of educational institutions in Upper Chitral.
