Booni, April 10, 2026: A mock exercise was conducted under the supervision of Rescue 1122 Upper Chitral to prepare for any emergency or unforeseen situation on Friday.
Officials from Rescue 1122, including the District Emergency Officer and other staff members, took part in the drill. The purpose of the exercise was to ensure a prompt and effective response in case of any emergency situation.
During the drill, rescue personnel demonstrated the practical use of life jackets and other essential rescue equipment. The participants were briefed and trained on emergency response procedures, including immediate rescue operations, safe evacuation techniques, and first aid measures in possible flood situations.
The additional deputy commissioner appreciated the performance of Rescue 1122 personnel and praised their effective execution of the exercise. He emphasized the need to remain alert and prepared at all times to ensure timely response during any natural disaster, particularly flood-related emergencies.
The exercise was aimed at strengthening coordination and improving operational readiness among emergency response teams in Upper Chitral.
