Police Constable Saves Teen from Drowning in Chitral River

Chitral, March 25, 2025: A teenage boy, estimated to be around 15–16 years old, jumped into the Chitral River near Hakimabad Bridge in Drosh at around 10 AM on Wednesday for unknown reasons.

Upon receiving the information, Constable Abid of the Lower Chitral Police demonstrated remarkable courage and presence of mind by immediately jumping into the river without regard for his own safety.

Displaying professional skill and determination, he successfully rescued the boy from drowning and saved his life.

This courageous act reflects the high level of training, swift response, and strong commitment of the Lower Chitral Police to public service. Constable Abid’s bravery has been widely praised and stands as a source of pride for the entire police force.
