Rescue 1122 Responded to 252 Emergencies in January

Chitral, Feb 1, 2026: Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral today stated that it provided timely emergency services to the public in January 2026.

The emergency service responded to a wide range of incidents across the district.
According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral, under the leadership of District Emergency Officer (DEO) Sajid Ali Yousafzai, rescue teams attended 252 emergency incidents during the month.

The personnel delivered prompt and quality first aid and safely shifted numerous injured and sick individuals to hospitals.

The DEO stated that during January, Rescue 1122 provided services in various categories, including 93 hospital-to-hospital referrals, 4 road traffic accidents, 5 fire incidents, 217 medical emergencies, no drowning incidents, and 26 other miscellaneous emergencies.

Despite traffic congestion, Rescue 1122 maintained an average response time of eight minutes, ensuring swift assistance to those in need.

The emergency service staffers remained on 24/7 high alert at all rescue stations and temporarily established points across the district to deal with any emergency situation.
