Chitral, Jan 31, 2026: A departmental test was conducted for the appointment of Muharirs and assistant Muharirs in Lower Chitral police on Friday.
A large number of youth sat the test aimed at ensuring merit-based and transparent appointments in the police department, said a statement.
Senior police officers, including SP Elite Force Atiqur Rehman, DSP Headquarters Iqbaluddin, and DSP Legal Sher Mohsinul Mulk, were present to supervise the examination process.
Officials who qualify on merit will be appointed as Moharirs in various police stations across Lower Chitral. These appointments are expected to improve the clerical and administrative functioning of police stations, ensuring greater efficiency, organization, and transparency.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Lower Chitral Riffat Ullah Khan stated that all appointments would be made strictly on the principles of merit, transparency, and professional competence.
