CHITRAL, August 4, 2025: The district administration of Lower Chitral has cancelled all previously issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for hostels operating in the district.
According to an official notice, hostel owners are now required to apply for new NOCs within 15 days. As part of the new process, they must first obtain clearance certificates from the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) and the local police.
Applications for the new NOC must be submitted to the district administration along with the required clearance documents. The new NOCs will only be issued after verification by the authorities.
The administration has warned that hostels operating without valid NOCs after the 15-day deadline will be sealed. Legal action will also be taken against those found in violation of the directive. This move aims to regulate hostel operations and ensure compliance with safety and legal standards across the district.
