Hameedullah takes charge as DPO Upper Chitral

BOONI: The newly-appointed District Police Officer (DPO) of Upper Chitral Hameedullah (PSP) has officially assumed charge of his duties.

Upon arrival at the Police Lines, he was presented with a guard of honour by a police contingent, says a press release.

He also visited the Martyrs\’ Monument, laid a wreath, and offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of those who sacrificed their lives for the country.

After taking charge, DPO Hameedullah held a detailed meeting with the SP Investigation, DSP Headquarters, and all SDPOs. The meeting focused on the overall law and order situation, public concerns, and the performance of the police force.

Later, he visited the Booni police station, where he inspected the barracks, arms store, offices, and residential quarters. He listened to the issues faced by police personnel and assured prompt action to address them.

He directed the station house officer (SHO) and other staff to maintain courteous behavior with the public and resolve their issues on a priority basis.

\”Public service is a form of worship, and we must never neglect it,\” the DPO emphasized.

He also inspected various departments at the Police Lines, including the general store, Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) room, offices, and the armoury. He checked the arms and ammunition records and issued instructions to maintain them securely and systematically. Special attention was given to the cleanliness of the barracks.

DPO Hameedullah urged all officers and personnel to perform their duties with sincerity, dedication, and teamwork. He stated, “If we all work together diligently, Upper Chitral can be made into a model district.”
