CHITRAL: The office-bearers of nine conservancies in the Toshi Shasha Game Reserve here on Monday accused MPA Lower Chitral Fatehul Mulk Ali Nasir of creating a fake Village Conservation Committee (VCC) and diverting trophy Markhor hunting funds to it.
Fazal Khan, Ali Ahmad, and others at a press conference said Bohtuli Gol VCC was formed illegally despite opposition during a meeting called by the Wildlife Department. They claimed that Rs9 million, meant for the welfare of locals, was unfairly allocated to this fake committee.
They said this act is a clear misuse of political power and a betrayal of the people who voted for the MPA in the name of PTI and its founder Imran Khan.
The speakers expressed concern that this injustice could harm local conservation efforts due to growing public anger.
They demanded that the issued cheque be canceled and the funds be distributed fairly among the other legal VCCs of the Toshi Shasha area.
They also appealed to PTI leadership, including Imran Khan, to take action against MPA Fatehul Mulk.
