The US and Israel’s joint operation against Iran didn’t come as a bolt from the blue; it was a sequel of a long-term meticulous planning spanning over several decades. The invasion was a writing on the wall and a foregone conclusion after the farcical negotiations failed to find a peaceful solution.
The negotiation for making a deal between the US and Iran was a drama ingeniously staged by the US and was destined to fail because the US was never serious in finding a peaceful solution to the row through negotiations as it was unmistakably evident from the US’ unreasonable demands right from day one, thus making it exceedingly hard for Iran to accept. The US and Israel had been preparing for this catastrophic war for long because they considered Iran as a big threat to both of them, and by extension to the entire Western world.
This is a well-orchestrated, carefully thought-out, well-measured and systematic move by president Trump to take on Iran after the emasculation of Iraq, Libya and Syria through a brute force used by his predecessors. It remains to be seen which Muslim country comes in the line of fire next. This is fated to happen sooner or later being an inevitable occurrence: it’s just a matter of time.
In all this sinister game being played against the Muslims by the US and it’s natural ally Israel, the ominous silence observed by the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) comprising 57 countries and it’s failure to come to the aid of Iran or at least convene an emergency session to raise voice in favour of Iran, express solidarity with it and condemn the US onslaught, has raised many eyebrows regarding the validity of its existence as a Muslim representative body. It’s lack of masculinity and show of strength as a potent body at a time when a strong message is direly needed to be conveyed to the US and Israel, has emboldened both of them to come down hard on Iran and make it an example for others who dare raise their head in front of them to oppose them.
As for the role of UNO, as usual it is absolutely disappointing and disheartening. It has virtually turned out to be a spineless body finding itself completely helpless before the US’ arbitrary use of disproportionate might which it has been exercising undeterred against any country it wants, Venezuela and now Iran being the case in point. It has lost its credibility and justification to exist as a world body.
Throughout its long murky history spanning over eight decades, UNO has never been effective and instrumental in resolving even a single problem facing the world.
This is a wake-up call for the Muslim world to get united, stand by Iran and act as a unified force against the US’ aggression against Iran and ask the US to stop the use of brutal force against a sovereign nation whose only sin is that it refuses to bow down before a super power.
Today, Iran stands alone in the face of hard knocks, and the Muslim community is watching as a silent spectator. The Muslim countries must wake up before it’s too late and oppose the cruel and unjust war on Iran. They need to understand that today it’s Iran who is facing the ire of the US and bearing the brunt of attacks, tomorrow it will be someone else who will fall in line.
