Truck rams into motorway police car, officer martyred

FAISALABAD: A tragic accident occurred on Motorway (M4) near Aminpur, Faisalabad, when a speeding Mazda truck rammed into a Motorway Police vehicle, resulting in the martyrdom of Inspector Mansoor Asghar.

According to the Motorway Police spokesperson, the incident took place while officers were engaged in briefing road users and delivering road safety education. The truck driver reportedly fell asleep behind the wheel, lost control of the vehicle, and crashed into the rear of the patrolling police mobile.

The collision was so intense that Inspector Mansoor Asghar, who was inside the vehicle, was martyred on the spot. The truck driver was arrested immediately.

Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan expressed his sorrow over the incident, stating that Inspector Asghar embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.

“It is deeply saddening to hear of this loss. May Allah grant the departed soul eternal peace and give strength to the bereaved family,” he said.

The minister also stressed the urgent need for improved training for commercial drivers to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
