Press club a historic development for Upper Chitral: Suriya

BOONI: Deputy Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Suriya Bibi paid a visit to the newly-established Upper Chitral Press Club on Monday.

Upon her arrival, she was received by Press Club President Mohammad Ali Mujahid, General Secretary Karimullah and other members, including Qari Mir Fayaz Chitrali.

Welcoming the deputy speaker, the press club officials expressed the hope for her continued support in strengthening the institution. They termed her a source of encouragement for the journalist community in the region.

Speaking to the newly-elected cabinet of the press club, Ms Suriya congratulated them and described the establishment of the club as a historic step for the region.

She emphasized that the PTI strongly believes in the freedom of the press and assured the club of full support in its development and operations.

She said Upper Chitral Press Club would play a vital role in highlighting the issues of the area and promoting its tourism and other sectors on a broader platform.
