Four snow leopards spotted together in GB

GILGIT: The simultaneous presence of four rare snow leopards in Gilgit-Baltistan has surprised everyone.

A video of the leopards was released by the Central Karakoram National Park administration in which the female and her three cubs can be seen.

The Central Karakoram National Park administration called the sighting a welcome development for biodiversity and environmental health. It said that snow leopards are usually hidden animals and such a sighting of leopards is an unusual event.

It may be mentioned here that sighting of snow leopards has not been reported in Chitral for many years though in the past it was a common phenomenon in upper areas of the valley.
