AKAH completes water supply schemes for three Yarkhun villages

CHITRAL: Water supply schemes by AKAH Pakistan completed for the remote villages of Sholkoch, Gazen and Wasum in the Yarkhun valley of Upper Chitral.

According to a press statement issued by AKAH Chitral, the two clean drinking water supply schemes, one for Wasum and Sholkoch and the other for Gazen, were handed over to the local communities by officials of AKAH at a function.

As many as 160 households of Gazen, 120 of Wasum and 139 houses of Sholkoch started benefiting from these schemes.

Speaking at the function, AKAH Chitral’s Regional Program Officer M. Wali Khan said that AKAH-Pakistan was working to bring improvement in the life of people in accordance with the vision of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan.

AKAHP Board Director Muhammad Afzal, Ismaili Regional Council President Imtiaz Alam also spoke on the occasion.
