Booni Gol link road inaugurated

BOONI: A road to link Booni Gol and Qasmandeh was on Tuesday inaugurated by MNA Abdul Latif in the presence of local residents and PTI workers.

Talking to ChitralToday, Rehmat Ali Jaffar Dost said that funds amounting to Rs9 million were provided by Wazir Zada, former special assistant to the chief minister, for the construction of the road. He said the road was named after his son Meher Ali Dost by Mr Wazir Zada himself.  

The project was approved about four years ago keeping in view the hardship faced by residents of the localities that remained cut off from rest of Booni. The project was to be completed in three phases.

In the first phase, the road was built from Shumasheli to Lot Dur, the second phase covered from Khorandok Shumasheli to Sangalan Deh up to the last house of Qasimandeh.

In the third phase, a bridge will be built over Booni Gol to provide a link to Prasing, Chiandur and Bazandeh. Mr Jaffar Dost said that so far 80pc of work on the project has been completed.
