Achievement of young engineer from Chitral
Dur Wali Khan
“He came, looked around and conquered.” This beautiful saying comes true when applied to my son.
Alhamdulillah, my elder son Engineer Qazi Shahid Ullah Kakakhel has successfully defended his MS dissertation in Electrical Engineering at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad.
We know well that success of a person depends upon his motivation, hard work and perseverance. Qazi Shahid is highly motivated, hardworking and willing to do something differently. That is why, he has been a brilliant student throughout his academic career and earned a good name for the family.
Two years ago, a team of researchers and scientists of NUST Islamabad developed Pakistan’s first indigenously designed microprocessor chip. The team was led by well-known scientist and researcher Dr. Rehan Ahmad, and my son Qazi Shahid and other three students were members of the team. Their achievement was highlighted and acknowledged by TV channels, print, electronic and social media at the national level.
The microprocessor chip is the heart of all electronic devices and consumer appliances that we use every day. Mr. Qazi Shahid is currently working with a US multinational company in Islamabad as a senior engineer, a young scientist and researcher.
He is planning to pursue his PhD program in future from a foreign university. May Allah protect him from evil eyes.
