They want to drag me to military court: Imran

RAWALPINDI: PTI founder Imran Khan has expressed the fear that former ISI chief retired Gen Faiz Hameed will be used as a prosecution witness to implicate him in the May 9 cases and drag him to a military court.

Talking to journalists at the Adiala jail, the former prime minister said that the establishment was planning to get a statement against me through Faiz Hameed so that they can take me to the military court.

Imran Khan said he had fully supported former army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa but he stabbed him (Imran) in the back. Bajwa entered into a deal with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and transferred Faiz Hameed from the post of the ISI chief to the corps of Peshawar, Imran Khan added.

The former prime minister said everyone knows that all cases against him were fabricated and being trashed, so they want to get a statement from Faiz Hameed that the May 9 violence was a conspiracy in order to drag him to a military court. He said any person involved in a conspiracy can never demand formation of a judicial commission. I was removed from power through a regime change plan and then I was put in jail, he added.
