Awareness programs held on environment day

BOONI: The Ismaili regional council Upper Chitral organized awareness programs targeting volunteers, boy scouts and girl guides at the Jamat Khana level in connection with World Environment Day on June 5, 2024.

The initiative aimed to educate the youth and community members about the critical issues of climate change and environmental sustainability.

The day’s activities commenced with a series of informative sessions conducted within Jamat Khanas, focusing on the theme “Climate Change and Our Land, Our Future.”

These sessions provided participants with valuable insights into the causes and consequences of climate change, as well as practical measures that individuals and communities can take to mitigate its effects.
