Security audit of Drosh civil courts conducted
CHITRAL: A security audit was carried out in the civil courts of Drosh under the supervision of subdivisional police officer (SDPO) Ahmad Esa, said the Lower Chitral police in a statement on Thursday.
The police said the security audit was part of steps being taken on the direction of Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat Khan in view of the prevailing situation in the country. Security audit of sensitive areas and installations is being carried out by the police.
The officials inspected the police guard room, watch tower and other points during the security checking of the premises of the civil courts.
The officials on security duty were told to remain on alert and wear helmet and jacket and ensure proper checking of suspicious persons. They were also told to strictly follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the higher authorities. The arms and ammunition of the police personnel were also checked.
Search & strike operation
Meanwhile, a search and strike operation was conducted in the limits of Shoghore police station, said the police. SHIO Attaur Rehman along with a team of police carried out the operation in Sewakht and nearby hilly areas to keep an eye on suspicious people, especially outsiders.
